Thanks - I downloaded the trial version of Rast Raw viewer and will give it a try.īeen playing with it but have not yet figured out how to get 2 images side by side (and blow them up) so they can be compared. I started after a lecture from a Kodak worker several years ago. One of the reason that I use Canon DPP4 all the time is that it includes lens optimisation software and all my lenses are Canon ones. They both read jpg and cr3 files and both provide a grid of images for comparison. Two browsers that do what you want to do are Fast raw viewer $CAD32 and Photomechanic $USD139.0 / So I would have to go back afterwards and delete them with Windows Explorer. I can use Zoombrowser to compare - but since it can's see the CR3 file it's not able to delete them. Thank-you Sam! I'll check that out as soon as I get time. ![]() Rating and comparing is quite quick using a zoomable lighttable and a side by side comparison. I use darktable to review, sort, rate and edit my raw files. Just downloaded the newer version, it has a depth compositing tool, which I haven't tried, which I presume is for stacked images in macro? I use DPP4 mostly these days 4.15.20 is the latest update. I used to use Image Browser but don't know if it does CR3. What do you guys use for sorting and managing CR3 files? I need software that can compare 2 jpeg images side by side and delete the CR3 and jpeg of the one that falls short. ![]() Zoombrowser does not recognize CR3 files. It was also used to add notes to the jpeg images. I know it was discontinued long time ago but it is perfect for comparing 30-40 images of the same bug and deleting the files that fall short. For 16 years I've used Canon's excellent Zoombrowser software. We typically go out on 3-4 day hunts and return with 400-500 images that need to be sorted and filed. I just bought a 90D and discovered CR3 RAW files. ![]()
